Asked about before-bed supplements, Briggs says slow-release casein is 'mostly bollocks' though it can supply some overnight fuel during the sleep fast. The bigger sleep levers are ZMA (zinc and magnesium) and 5-HTP, a serotonin precursor. He also warns against loading simple sugars right before bed unless you deliberately want to ride an insulin crash into sleep.
