Women won't get bulky from lifting heavier weights
The most common and heartbreaking mistake the coaches see is women avoiding weights and pounding cardio, ending up a smaller but shapeless version of themselves. Female bodybuilders train for hours and take drugs to gain that muscle; moving from 8kg to 10kg dumbbells won't do it. In a deficit you can't build muscle anyway.
- Cardio-only fat loss leaves you smaller but shapeless
- Building visible muscle is extremely hard and slow, even on purpose
- In a calorie deficit you cannot gain muscle at all
- Lifting retains shape; the same lean principles apply to men and women
“you are only going to look like a smaller version of yourself but just as shapeless”
“I go to the library and I'm sometimes scared that I might get too clever”
