    Most people glance at something like a flower, then draw their internal symbol for 'flower' instead of the actual shape and detail in front of them. The fix is forcing yourself to keep referencing the real object throughout.

The person's visual attention sharpens because they now hold a fine-grained vocabulary for what they're looking at, not just a generic bucket.
